INTERNATIONAL CALL FOR DESIGN
The H. City Council of San Pedro Tlaquepaque, through the Directorate of Culture, The University Center for Art, Architecture and Design of the University of Guadalajara, FLUYA GDL, FILA3 Multitude Design, RINCREA: International Network of Creators, Interuniversity Cartel Network, Poster http://xn--mxico-bsa.org/ and Honorary Chroniclers of Tlaquepaque.
Summon:
to young college students design, art and interested people, to participate in the design of the poster for the 6th edition of the Used and Old Book Fair 2021 in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco. The FLUYA TLAQUEPAQUE Fair celebrates April 23, International Book Day through various activities that seek to bring the community closer to the occasion and ancient books to convey the emotions that are generated by reading in an event that is conducive encounters between booksellers, readers and beyond; in this broadcast artisans, chroniclers, writers and artists who share identity, memory and culture with an audience that participates and appropriates the public square giving life and meaning to one of our most beautiful people magical peoples. Given the situation of pandemic and uncertainty that we have to live and after a year 2020 of forced break, we invite the community of students and art professionals and graphic design to add their creativity to give image and projection to this cultural day which reaches its 6th edition in an exceptional circumstance that should not stop, on the contrary, that encourages the flow of letters, which remain free and essential yet and despite the lockdown, under the following:
BASES.
A) Poster Title: Poster Title and General Data of the Participant (s) Maximum Two.
Include Name (s), age, address, phone (s), email (s), an educational institution where you are enrolled as a teacher or student, level and semester.
B) Proposal Argument Text:
The full text should include research, creative process, conceptualization and design as well as references. The maximum length of 300 words (not including references). Written in space and a half, in Arial 12 points. Use text processors like Microsoft Word ® or compatible free software.
C) Format:
Posters should be in vertical format and submitted in two versions1. File. jpg 20 cm wide x30 cm tall to 150 dpi in RGB color mode to be included in the Virtual Gallery.2. File. jpg 100 cm tall x 70 cm wide to 300 dpi in CMYK color mode for printing. The final design must contemplate 03 cm. free space at the bottom of the poster for convenient logos placement.
D) Important dates:
Reception of works will be from the publication of the call until March 31, 2021, deadline.
Result post will be on Friday, April 07, 2021.
E) Proposal submission:

F) Jury:
He will be integrated as follows and his ruling will be inappelable.:
– Two graphic designers with an international trajectory.
– A CUAAD Representative-UDG.
– A representative of the Tlaquepaque Culture Directorate.
– A FLUYA Gdl. A.C. Rep.
– A representative of Tlaquepaque Honorary Chroniclers.
Winners will be contacted via email and / or registered phone.
G) Rights, obligations and intellectual property:
The winning poster will be used as the image of the Used and Old Book Fair 2021, so the winner pledges to submit the file in format. ai editable with corresponding sources and images for editing and adjusting to the various outreach and dissemination formats. All participants without exception, accept the works being exhibited, published nonprofit, for purposes of spreading and exclusive promotion of the 2021 event, maintaining your intellectual property through corresponding credits. The cartel author vows to use free and / or rights-free images under his responsibility. All participants will receive a digital constancy granted and signed by the organizing committee Awards giving ceremony will be the Opening Day of the Fair. Participation in this call means explicit acceptance of the present bases. Any unchecked issue will be resolved by the organizing committee.
Prizes:
First Place-$ 5,000.00 M.N. Five thousand pesos, national currency, redeemable for books (if foreign and/or residing abroad, deposit or postage of prize will be made).
Second Place: Artisan Piece.
